This is a full time employment agreement or contract setting out the terms and conditions upon which an employee will be employed by an employer on a full time basis. The contract covers routine matters such as the employee’s hours of work, duties, remuneration, holiday entitlements and so on.

This full time employment contract details matters such as:

• the duration of the probationary period (which can be extended, reduced or removed as necessary);

• the employee’s job title and the scope of the employee’s duties; as well as the rules and regulations which the employee must comply with;

• the employee’ retirement requirements and what pension products the employee is entitled to or will have access to;

• the private health cover offered to the employee (if any);

• the procedures relating to the change in benefits and the termination of benefits;

• the confidentiality provisions that are imposed on the employee throughout the duration of his or her employment;

• the requirement that the employee devote his or her full attention to the performance of his or her duties, act in the best interests of the employer at all times, refrain from having any involvement with any other business that competes with that of the employer or which may conflict with the interests of the employer;

• the disciplinary and grievance procedures;

• the manner in which the agreement can be terminated;

• the restrictive covenants that apply post termination of the employment;

• who owns intellectual property rights developed by the employee;

• the employer’s right to search the employee; and

• other relevant matters.
